Saturday, Jan 30 - (noon to 4pm) Pack 120 Pinewood Derby - we will be running the concession stand for the pack - we need volunteers to help
Sunday, January 31st - 3:00 to 5:00pm - Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Andy Gorman, Alex Jofriet, Will Kefhauver, John Young. The ceremony will be held at the church and all in the troop are welcome.

2009-2010 Registration Fees

Our charter with the Dan Beard Council and the Boy Scouts of America is due again in December for the next 12 months. During this process we register all Scouts, pay insurance and other fees associated with each Scout and Adult Leader.
During this time we collect our annual registration fee from all Scouts. Fees will remain the same as last year and will be $75 for the first Scout and $50 for additional Scouts from the same family.

May Meeting Plans

• 5/4/2009- We are packing up the trailer for the mother's day campout and holding scoutmaster conferences.
• 5/11/2009- At 6:00 we are planting flowers and spreading mulch in front of the church, bring tools, and class A's for the photo shoot in the meeting room.
• 5/18/2009- We are holding the mock trial for the law merit badge, it will probably be held in the sanctuary.
• 5/25/2009- Memorial day parade.
• 6/1/2009- Summer camp overview.
• 6/14/2009- Pool party from 12:00 to 4:00 at the Miami Hills Swim Club.

Tyler Scheid Blood Drive

Hoxworth Blood Center will be at Milford First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 6th for a special blood drive dedicated to Tyler Scheid. The hours will be 2:00-4:15 and 5:30-8:00 p.m. Please call 831-5500 for an appointment.

Troop 128 Night at Texas Roadhouse

Take your family and friends out to eat on Wednesday, March 18th at Texas Roadhouse in Milford and help support the Scouts of Troop 128.
Present the attached flyer with you and 10% of your entire bill will be donated to our Troop courtesy of Texas Roadhouse. Come and watch as the Scouts help to bus tables and serve our community while earning money for our Troop.

March Meeting Plans

3/2/09- We are working on thelaw merit badge and rank advancements for the younger scouts. Also anyone not working on those two things will either be checking the backpacking stoves and any other backpacking equipment that needs to be looked at.
3/9/09- We will be working on first aid for this month's upcoming campout. Also those working on the law merit badge, there will be a class on that night.
3/14/09- Merit badge challenge.
3/16/09- We'll be planning patrol menus for the upcoming campout and we'll be loading up the troop trailer.
3/20-22/09- March campout
3/23/09- We'll be going over backpacking instructions and we'll be doing a gear swap/sale.
3/30/09- We'll be going over what you should bring on a backpacking camp out.

February Meeting Plans

Meeting 2/9/09 - We are loading the trailer and checking the grub boxes for the upcoming Mammoth Cave campout 2/14-2/16. And we will be forming new patrols and choosing patrol leaders (if there's enough time).
NO MEETING ON THE 16TH!!!
Meeting 2/23/09 - We are holding a mock trial for the law merit badge and working on rank advancements for the younger scouts.

Troop Elections

During our next troop meeting on February 2nd we will hold elections for Scout Leadership Positions in the troop. We would encourage all Scouts to review the Leadership Guide and look at how they can serve and grow in the troop. |

December Meeting Plans

Here are the following plans for the December meetings. Tonight we have the giftgiving seminar along with the Cook off. The meeting will start at seven tonight. The service patrol is the Varks.
Next week we have the Christmas party with the gift exchange. Gifts will be under 10 dollars and scouting related. We are doing the steal idea this year. People can bring in refreshments such as pop and cookies.
Also there is a PLC Jan 4.

Christmas Gift Exchange

Our annual Scout Secret Santa gift exchange will be on Monday, December 15th. Each Scout should bring a wrapped gift to this meeting to exchange. Gifts should be around $10 in value and should be Scouting, backpacking, hiking, camping oriented. |
