For those that are interested in working on Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, or First Class … We will be at CUB WORLD tomorrow morning and available to work on requirements with those that are interested.
We will be in or around the CUB WORLD Admin building between 9:00 am and noon (this is the building right in front of you as you walk into Cub World). There is another group using the shelter so do not go in there looking for us.
This is especially targeted at those that are still Scout and Tenderfoot rank – those that are second class and working towards first class you are certainly welcome if you think we can get a few things signed off at camp in a morning. I could also use a few older Scouts if you are available to work with the younger ones.
No uniforms are required. Bring a water bottle and snacks if you can’t last the morning nothing will be provided … and don’t forget your Scout Book.
We are planning to attend spook-o-ree as volunteers helping with the event. This is a great opportunity for those looking for service hours, and it's a lot of fun for anyone looking for something to do. Sign-ups will be at the meetings so make sure to sign up!
Astronomy Camp – location still being determined. Come sleep under the stars and explore the heavens above with us as we head north a little bit away from the city lights.
You asked for an astronomy camp out, and we have an exciting one coming in November! Our plans for astronomy include a night time visit from the director of Perkins Observatory for a program and some star gazing, and a daytime program at the OSU planetarium.
